I waited a long time before finding a piece of curly ash to create this washbasin and its cabinet. The choice of curly ash was natural, with a high-gloss varnish chosen to fully reveal the wood’s distinctive waves and reflections.
The inspiration comes from the back of my double bass, which is also made from curly maple — a piece of wood that I find particularly beautiful. This design led to a small collection of matching pieces, including a toilet roll holder, shelf and towel holder.
